Genius does deliver real discounts once a traveler books enough to reach level 2 or 3, but a first-time user gets none of that benefit. For anyone who books a few trips a year on the same account, the accumulated Genius savings make Booking.com worth defaulting to. For a one-off booking, it's no cheaper than checking the hotel's own site directly.
